Morgan Nardi

Performer, Choreograph, Mentor

Morgan Nardi works with physical theater and performing arts practices, as he conceives theater as a vivid experience that manifests itself through authentic bodies and movements. His creations are marked by the courage to venture to the new limits as well as by a deeply moving poetry, declaimed with the ease conveyed through a great joy of playing. The precision of his style of movement, spiked with ironizing humour, is a unique combination of body language and voice, always exploring the possibilities of language with cunningly employed emotional depth. Within his minimalist choreographies, mostly conceived as solos or duets, a multilayered drama emerges, concentrated on essential questions.

During the last ten years Morgan Nardi has developed a series of duets and group projects in collaboration with performers, musicians and visual artists from different countries, like Snežana Golubović, Vlada Divljan, Olith Ratego, Erich Pick, Hinrich Gross, Kepha Oiro, Alessandro De Vita, Saïd Gharbi, Alessandro Sciarroni, Marcus Grolle, Miriam Michel, Annika B. Lewis, Mirko Feliziani and Pietro Cardarelli. His works has been co-produced by tanzhaus nrw Düsseldorf, FFT Düsseldorf, Pact Zollverein Essen, Mousonturm Frankfurt, Danceforum Nairobi and showed, among others, in Berlin, Lithuania, Canada, Georgia, Africa.

His last productions „THIS BOY“ (2014), „Wenn unsere Blicke sich treffen, ist es Tag oder Nacht? / Amletica“ (2015), „MENANCHOLY“ (2016), „Ziggy Stardust“ and „Pornotopia“ (2017) were created in colaboration with FFT Düsseldorf.
