LA RUE

“Communal thinking, communal eating, unreserved hanging around. Spontaneous, situative meeting of the different disciplines. Making music, playing music to each other, and dancing. Carrying that which emerges outside, onto stages, or into urban spaces.” This is how Ted Gaier describes the “communitarian” practice developed by Gintersdorfer/Klaßen during the first part of Place Internationale in September, 2021. A large, star-studded Gintersdorfer/Klaßen cast now assembles for La Rue – a communal roadshow. It is going to transform the songs as well as the movement material, last year’s experiences and discussions into a performative song show that will be presented on the spaces in and around KAP1.
