We hear clanking, rumbling, crashing. We are in a child’s room. Or to be more precise: Under the blankets in an oversized bed. Zurich director Corsin Gaudenz invites us on an adventurous voyage. Drum parts grow and grow on stage until a whole forest emerges. Four wild creatures roam the fabulous worlds. The grand piano turns into a ship with which the musicians soon reach a mysterious island, fighting against monsters.

Wild Things is musical theatre for a young audience, captivating through its big experimental vigour with music, movement, and space.

Corsin Gaudenz is active in different theatre contexts. Within research projects laid out for multi-year durations, he explores new, innovative formats and has realised musical theatre projects. His precise yet open work approach as well as his curiosity for new contexts and constellations are characteristic for his efforts. His works have been awarded numerous prizes. His project Dorf Theater (2016) about amateur theatre in central Switzerland received an invitation to international theatre festival Impulse in 2018 while also receiving the three-year cultural support granted by the City of Zurich. Corsin Gaudenz initially completed his acting training and then graduated with degrees in both science as well as in applied studies: At the Berlin University of the Arts (MA Solo/Dance/Authorship) in 2009 and at Bern University at the Institute for Theatre Sciences in 2019.
