RICHARD III OR CR7ISTIANO
Theatre Social/Urban Movements Theatre & Performance
Being feminist while being a man – does that work? And if so, how? Loosely based on the character of Richard III and an imaginary friendship with Cristiano Ronaldo, the performer starts a journey through various genres within the performing arts. World literature, theatre stages and football stadiums are teeming with patriarchal imprinting. How could a person who has been socialised as male deal with this today? Between outdated role models, utopian ideas, feminist positioning, and allyship, David Martínez Morente seeks answers and artistic exploration. He perceives the theatre evening as an appointment with his audience, encountering the visitors with appreciation, energy, and unrestrained honesty. His best friends support him in this.
