Substage aims to materialise a temporary club space in the foyer of Düsseldorfs FFT. This edition showcases a heterogeneous and progressive club-sound.
Alisa Berger’s savage selection across genres weaves a tight web of surprise encounters. A2iCE & BO3’s mixes are characterized by fast, energetic sound. Mixing techno, bass, footwork, breakbeat and rave, their connecting element is the common groove, the hypnotic and the unpredictable break. Nils Levin’s influences range from the classical canon and underground Techno scenes to the environment which surrounds him. Alphosee’s focus lies on oddly danceable bass and drum focused tunes spiked with eerie drama or contrasted by more complaisant pop moments.

Alisa Berger is a filmmaker and artist born in Dagestan raised in Ukraine and Germany. She is Currently is based between Tokyo, Lille and Cologne. Her sets thrive on tribal patterns and ethereal soundscapes, sending you on a lush tour
through hyperspace. Her savage selection across genres weaves a tight web of surprise encounters. Coming in her first years as a DJ for female.pressure events in Cologne from a dark ambient and audio-acoustic-experimental style Alisa’s sets developed lately more into a wild mixture of tribal, breakbeat and jungle with a special love for all kinds of eastern music. She played in Japan at places like WOMB, Contact, Forest Limit, Rubyroom, Bonobo, FFKT, Mindtravel, Tokyo Community Radio.
A2iCE & BO3 are a DJ and producer duo currently based in Dortmund with a heart for bass heavy, driving and genre-crossing sound. In their sets, the two bring unexpected tunes and twists, fast mixes and energetic grooves. Jana came to DJing through her step father who was a Frankfurt-loving Trance-DJ back in the days, while Lex started out as a 16 yr old boy with a crack for fruity loops. Characterized by bass, techno, breakbeat and jungle from all over the world, the two deliver a highly energetic output, as they don’t want to be bound to a certain sound or range. They just had their first vinyl release on Paryìa Records. In their everyday life, the two are a media and sound artist duo, which is always manifested in the selection of their tunes – so every mix tells its own story.
Nils Levin is a visual artist and producer whose influences range from the classical canon and underground Techno scenes to the environment which surrounds him. His productions twist field recordings, classic arrangements and temporary club music elements together into a unique and progressive sound.
alphosee is a DJ, graphic designer situated between the arts and local subcultural practices. His selections vary from season to season. Currently his focus lies on oddly danceable bass and drum focused tunes spiked with eerie drama or contrasted by more complaisant pop moments.
