Die Kunst, Nein Zu Sagen (On the Art of Saying No)

In their Daughters of the Future piece, waltraud900 group poses the question why it is being made so difficult to say “no”, especially for people that are read as female. This is the exact workshop focus. What are you saying “no” to, and how does your “no” become loud and visible?

Together with other participants, you will learn the artistic means to divert attention to your opinion and needs. With a view towards the current situation of women and people read as female, you will develop options for protest, of insurrection and solidarity. The choir is a paradigmatic example for an artistic means: In a choir, bodies and voices join and yield an impact that celebrates community while leaving an option for the individual to stand out.
