WPKultur
Arts and Culture at Worringer Platz
12.09. – 10.10.2025

WPKultur stands for Worringer Platz Kultur and marks a cooperation between six neighbouring cultural venues: FFT Düsseldorf, Literaturbüro NRW and the Zentralbibliothek/ Central Library at KAP1, Junges Schauspiel and Stadt:Kollektiv at D´haus Central, WP8 and tanzhaus nrw.
WPKultur plans joint activities and projects that create and strengthen connections between each other and into the neighbourhood by artistic means – always conscious of the special character of our quarter, and in exchange with the people who use it.
Current projects
WPKultur Crows path
From June until October, we are collaborating with artists’ collective Anna Kpok to develop a playful parkours through the quarter which invites residents and other explorers to discovery.
WPKultur Islands
The neighbourhood in close vicinity to the main train station is marked by transit and through traffic. Supported by Dortmund’s Urbanisten e.V. , we are working on establishing small spaces of lingering and encounter where everyone is welcome.
WPKultur programme
There will be new things to discover around Worringer Platz every week from 12 September until 10 October 2025: Pub readings, urban dance in shop windows, and urban walks opening up new perspectives. WPKultur invites you to explore a quarter that shows its most beautiful sides on second glance only.

WPKultur will be realised as part of the KreativRaumD project. KreativRaumD is a multi-departmental support project by the City of Düsseldorf and receives funds from the federal programme “Zukunftsfähige Innenstädte und Zentren” (“Sustainable Inner Cities and Centres”) as set up by the Bundesministerium für Wohnen, Stadtentwicklung und Bauwesen (BMWSB) (Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Building).
