WESTWIND FESTIVAL

From 31 May to 6 June 2025, the Westwind Festival, the 41st theatre meeting for young audiences in North Rhine-Westphalia, will take place at Junges Schauspiel, FFT, and tanzhaus nrw in Düsseldorf. Look forward to ten exciting children’s and youth theatre plays from all over North Rhine-Westphalia, outstanding international guest performances as well as productions from the hosting houses themselves. Meet theatre professionals from NRW and from all continents.

A varied supporting programme with Citizens’ Dinner, lectures, and workshops is dedicated to the topic of „Arts for Change“, as exemplified in the presentation of a groundbreaking study from New York on the effect of the performing arts on children. On Sunday 1 June, you will have the opportunity to experience theatre, music, and activities to join in with family, fans, and friends at the Family Day on the culture mile between FFT, Central, and tanzhaus nrw.

The 41st WESTWIND Festival will be hosted by Junges Schauspiel Düsseldorf in cooperation with FFT Düsseldorf and tanzhaus nrw.
