WEST OFF 2025

From autonomy and community to global experiences and queer time travel: west off 2025 presents three exceptional performances on stage. The platform for young regional art invites the audiences in Cologne, Bonn, and Düsseldorf to discover the political in the personal.

In her performance Selbst, Evgenija Gerciu tests the boundaries of autonomy: Where do we stand alone, and where do we need community? It’s not what you think, allow me to clarify by Yasmine Calasse opens a dialogue on flight and migration beyond stereotypes. feige glanz & fervor’s queering of age invites us to take a time travel trip into growing up queer, from the 1990s to the 2010s.

The productions are carried by Theater im Ballsaal Bonn, FFT Düsseldorf and studiobühneköln. Rika Sakalak supervises this year’s edition as a dramaturge/ coordinator.
