Wie wir uns Rassismus beibringen (How we teach ourselves racism)

by Gilda Sahebi

Lecture with talk Talks & Workshops Social/Urban Movements

In her clear analysis, journalist and political scientist Gilda Sahebi demonstrates: We all think in racist terms. That has nothing to do with extremism. Sahebi describes the specifics of German racism. She looks back into the German Empire, tracing the threads from those times until the present. She shows how we continue to perpetuate racist and divisive narratives, how we keep reteaching us racism – and, in turn, endanger democracy.

Moderation: Filiz Şirin-Gündüz, Kommunales Integrationszentrum (KI) Düsseldorf. (Communal Integration Centre Düsseldorf)
