WASIHRWOLLT (WHATYOUWILL)

Theater for all from the age of 14 Young FFT Theatre & Performance

Shipwrecked Viola finds herself stranded off the coast of Illyria and disguises herself as a man for protection. As Cesario, she enters the service of Duke Orsino and relates his vows of love to Countess Olivia. However, the countess immediately falls in love with Viola*Cesario, who only has eyes for Orsino. And when Viola’s twin brother Sebastian, who was missing and presumed dead, turns up, their (love) triangle becomes completely jumbled.

Who am I and, if so, why? In WASIHRWOLLT (WHATYOUWILL), nothing is as it seems and no one is who they claim to be. Shakespeare’s comedy of mistaken identity breaks down gender assumptions with cunning and relish and poses questions about (gender) identity, sexuality and the meaning of life.
