Unsere Grube (OUR PIT)

based on the picture book of the same name by Emma AdBåge

Theatre for all from the age of 5 Young FFT Theatre & Performance

Our “pit” is the most wonderful place to play. With all those weeds, tree stumps and rocks, anything is possible! Only the adults see it differently: too dangerous! Why do adults always get in the way? Why are the games they suggest always so boring? What are the adults afraid of? For this production, pulk fiktion teams up with youngsters to bring Emma AdBåge’s storybook “Unsere Grube” (“Our Pit”; known in English as “The Hole Behind the Gym”) to the stage. Together, they navigate the social confines of play: between rules and freedom, fear and a spirit of adventure. Since May 2024, the JUNGEpulk youth group has been meeting regularly with the participating artists and exploring its own artistic visions for this play. JUNGEpulk is intended to become a long-term part of pulk fiktion’s work and is constantly evolving.
