The Fall of Sleep

Performance Social/Urban Movements Theatre & Performance
Vier Personen liegen zusammen schlafend, entspannt auf bunten Decken in einem Raum. Es wirkt ruhig, freundlich und gelassen.

We are supposed to find recuperation in sleep. We spend around one third of our lives in this state. Yet, more and more people suffer from sleep problems. Apps track our sleep to optimise it, yet it remains recalcitrant. The Fall of Sleep is a poetic ritual that invokes a condition between waking and sleeping.

Joining the artists will be musician Ted Gaier and Nicolás Kretz who will develop experimental soundscapes. Lullabies encounter echoes of club sounds in a nocturnal zone that celebrates sleep as a fragile common good, as a softly spoken promise in another world.

During the Hypnagogic Club Session on November 11, all those who are interested are invited to explore states between waking and sleeping first hand.
