Quantum

The Universe Machine

Stage Comic Social/Urban Movements Theatre & Performance
Zwei Katzen im Comic Style sitzen sich spiegelnd in derselben Position gegenüber. Die eine ist blau und lebendig, die andere ist tot und nur ein weißes Skelett

“If quantum mechanics has not profoundly shocked you, you have not understood it yet.” Niels Bohr

Quantum physics is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Sporting teleportation, Schrödinger’s cat as well as parallel dimensions, it keeps on providing ample material for science nerds as well as for science fiction. A brilliant resource for a new half past selber schuld stage comic strip!

Quantum – The Universe Machine scrutinises the interaction of physics, technology, politics, society, and human behaviour. The episodic, poetic scenes employ puppetry, projection, and music – paired with the unmistakable half past selber schuld wit. This latest concoction by congenial duo Ilanit Magarshak-Riegg and Sir ladybug beetle was conceived in close collaboration with experts from the Institute for the Didactics of Physics at Münster University. It presents the history, present, and future of a science that transports human imagination to its limits.
