Frida, a successful influencer, has become the victim of a shitstorm on the social network “Vire”. Seeking help, she turns to the players who soon figure out: This is not a random shitstorm. It was planned and executed by a right-wing network that attempts to manipulate the social discourse on topics such as feminism and diversity through skilfully applied media strategy, aiming to enforce a racist and sexist policy. Lifestyle influencer Loulu appears to play a central role in this. She ponders motherhood, fast-paced society, and homeland topics. What are the connections between Loulu and the network attacking Frida online? Together with Frida and internet specialist Robin, the players will search for the secret strategy manual of this right-wing “movement”, sliding ever deeper into the network’s core.

Loulu is a free-to-play smartphone app inviting its players into an interactive fiction. The single player game lets you experience the tactics and disruptive discourse of neo-right-wing networks. It demonstrates how social internet platforms can become radicalisation hotbeds.

You may download Loulu to your smartphone and play whenever you feel like it. You may also play at ON/LIVE at the Foyer and talk to the creators and other players there. onlinetheater.live additionally offers a workshop for teachers wishing to integrate Loulu in their classes.

Loulu was awarded the 2021 Amadeu Antonio Prize, the BRaVE Fair Innovation Prize, the Conceptual Support Award “Digital Dramaturgy” given out by the Kultursekretariat NRW in 2020 as well as an “Honorable Mention” at PLAY21.

onlinetheater.live was founded as a genuine internet theatre in 2016. It strives to occupy the reality of digital life with contemporary theatre. Online as well as in digital co-presence, it sends out performances via livestream, in social media, and through specifically created internet havens. With the goal of an active participation in the shaping of the digital public sphere, onlinetheater.live utilises the power of theatre and searches for new, idiosyncratic ways that do justice to our hybrid times.
