LIERENFELD
Outre nuit
Social/Urban Movements Theatre & PerformanceLIERENFELD. At the Rote Halle, a group prepares for the arrival of a gathering around landscapes that is equal parts factual as it is mythical. Millions of years ago, the ocean was situated right next to Lierenfeld. Today, a mustard seed meadow grows in the former garage. Some changes occur gradually, some suddenly. Rotterdam Presenta unveil invisible and imaginary topographies in LIERENFELD. Three performers and three musicians gauge the land, breaking it up, listening for hidden shallows. Their antennae are directed and stretched towards all temporalities and the contradictory narratives of a landscape.
They also come upon Outre Nuit here, a work by longstanding accomplice Clara Lévy. In the dark, she probes the space and its resonance with her violin’s sound: Modern and contemporary compositions assess the Lierenfeld landscape from changing positions. A sound meditation that is wholly dedicated to listening as well-being and exchange between the musician, her instrument, the space, and the listeners.
On Saturday, August 24th, at 4 pm, Construction Site Talk #8: Geographies of the Commune will also take place as part of the proceedings.
The Panoramabar will be open every day.
