Cultural Breakfast
Talk Talks & Workshops Place to be
Welcome to the Culture Breakfast at FFT Düsseldorf. This free offer is aimed at anyone who would like to take a look behind the scenes of independent theater and talk about it with others! Every 2nd Friday of the month, we invite you to meet artists and other guests, current topics and new plays in our foyer.
The FFT is a place for independent theater in the Düsseldorf cultural center KAP1. You can see dance, theater or performances on our stages. Our spacious foyer invites you to come together. Together with our neighbors from the Central Library and the Kulturliste Düsseldorf e.V., we offer a meeting place for people interested in theater and all those who would like to become one. Over a cup of coffee and a pastry, you will get an insight into our program. You will get to know the artists who work at the theater and learn details about the plays that will soon be performed on our stages.
At every Culture Breakfast you have the opportunity to find out more about the Kulturliste Düsseldorf and register on site.
Upcoming dates
The FFT opens the new season together with tanzhaus nrw with the Claiming Common Spaces Festival (September 10th to 13th ). The FFT’s artistic director, Kathrin Tiedemann, will present the programme together with tanzhaus nrw’s intendant Ingrida Gerbutavičiūtė, as some of the highlights from the upcoming months will also be revealed.
“Making theatre keeps you young!”, that is Senior Citizen’s Theatre SeTA’s motto. Their new piece Altweiberfrühling premieres in October. The ensemble, together with director Nicola Glück, will tell us all about it at the Cultural Breakfast.
Berlin-based Studio Three More Years makes video games and theatre. At the FFT, they combine technology, art, and childlike fantasy in surprising ways to create a piece for everyone aged 12 and up. Therein, they pose current questions about the limits of human knowledge.
Special Guest: The Düsseldorfer Drogenhilfe e.V. writing workshop presents their magazine “Fassade – Geschichten aus der Sucht”.
For once on the third Friday of the month!
What is the sound of our planet? Düsseldorf group Rotterdam Presenta explores the sound of the environment with ultrasound loudspeakers, underwater microphones, and a mobile recording studio. Their new piece is called Im Dickicht (In the Undergrowth) and will come to the FFT in January.
