Hypnagogic Club Session
Workshop Talks & Workshops Social/Urban Movements
With The Fall of Sleep,Montserrat Gardó Castillo and Petr Hastik premiere a poetic ritual between waking and sleeping.
All those interested are invited to learn more about the concept of hypnagogia in an open workshop session on November 11. Hypnagogia denotes an intermediate state between waking and sleeping accompanied by sensory impressions ranging to and including vivid hallucinations, considered a pathway to heightened creativity in many cultures.
Underground music legend Ted Gaier will be part of this project, developing experimental soundscapes with noise and drone music specialist Nicolás Kretz. The artistic team invites all participants into a shared hypnagogic state. Soundscapes that include alpha and theta tones merge with sensual rituals such as hypnotic cradling, lullabies, whispered poetry, and stories.
