Grandmothers Of The Future
Performance Social/Urban Movements Theatre & PerformanceSeven women position themselves within the traditional confines of their own (female) stories in the Grandmothers Of The Future performance, examining them from a transcultural and feminist perspective. They search for differences and similarities in the lives of their Egyptian, German, Greek, Iranian, Palestine, and Ukrainian grandmothers, from the early years of the 20th century until today.
The performers – two generations removed – ask themselves and each other: How did you become this woman before me today? Together, they create a negotiating space for social processes, retrospective, for future scenarios and shared reverie, on three generations, on three different continents.
