FANFARE

Times are challenging; all the more reason not to keep us from celebrating – even more so when there are two occasions: the North Rhine-Westphalia State Office for the Independent Performing Arts, in its current construction, turned ten in 2024, the original forerunner, the Kooperative Freie Theater (Independent Theatre Cooperative) would even have celebrated its fortieth anniversary! The Nort Rhine-Westphalia State Office New Year’s Start, the FANFARE, therefore becomes a festive double birthday gala in 2025: Together, we will celebrate 40 years of association work, professionalisation, the scene itself – jointly opening archives of the independent performing arts, past and future.

The FANFARE is the traditional New Year’s Start and a network gathering of the North Rhine-Westphalia State Office for the Independent Performing Arts. The FFT Düsseldorf will host the event for the first time in 2025. This event will be held for State Office members; registration will be handled by the North Rhine-Westphalian State Office.
