Die Vier im roten Kreis (The Four in the red circle)

Die Vier im roten Kreis – they are four renowned Düsseldorf electronic musicians joining forces for a special concert evening. In four independent live sets, YurkE, Axel Ganz (Pondskater), Harmonious Thelonious and Selyst (Thomas Klein) demonstrate the versatility of today’s electronic music sounds – between club, experiment, ritual monotony, and technoid improvisation.

Harmonious Thelonious combines African-inspired rhythms with repetitive structures into a trance-like dance flow. Pondskater works in live coding and projects the creative coding process directly onto the stage – a hybrid interplay of algorithmic composition and visual performance. Selyst, well-known from Kreidler, creates a hypnotic sound floating between Kraut and tribal, using analogue drums and reduced sequences. YurkE deconstructs electronic music live, improvising with loops, quotes, and noise, creating an experience of the essence of the track itself.
