Die letzte Show (The last show)

Dance performance for everyone aged 10 and up Young FFT Dance

Die letzte Show unites Nora and Ives, two experienced performers, with their much younger audience, for the first and also probably the last time. For shared time in theatre is fleeting, after the performance, all will go their separate ways. So, they ask the big questions: What should happen in your life? What did you not dare to do until today? How, and whom, do you say “goodbye”? Because we all have to bow out, time and time again, regardless of age. The audience witnesses many different goodbyes and provides impulse for everything that is due to happen during the last show. It adopts different perspectives on life, tries the pleasures of letting go and discovers the power of a fresh start. “Die letzte Show” is part of a trilogy that began with “Liebe üben”, continued with “dÄmonen”, and now concludes in a grand finale.

cast

Actress Nora Vonder Mühll and choreographer and dancer Ives Thuwis developed two documentary dance theatre pieces under the direction of Hannah Biedermann in the past: Liebe üben (2018) and dÄmonen (2022). Both pieces remain in the repertoire and are regularly booked in the German-speaking countries.

An approach of intensive research with the target public and the touching experiences with the audience after the performances were the reasons for continuing their joint work. Nora is now 55 and Ives 60 years old. Farewells become more and more prominent. Farewell to skills, a farewell to friends, farewells to each other, a farewell to the stage. The Last Show completes this collaborative trilogy.
