Zwei Personen in Schutzkleidung liegen auf dem Bühnenboden übereinander.

Detroit is based on a true incident from the year 2019: A car accident on a journey, and in the motor city of Detroit, of all places. The memory does not leave Montserrat Gardó Castillo & Petr Hastik. In Detroit, they ask how memory is created, how it changes, how it is shared, and how it blends with fiction. The performance becomes a re-staging of the accident. The stage will be the iconic open world video game Grand Theft Auto (GTA). In this digital palace of memory, the collision can be staged repeatedly – together with additional players, and with the audience being on-site. Between concert, choreography, and Let’s Play, an intense, personal evening about the possibilities of regaining one’s own experience emerges.

For September 15th, Montserrat Gardó Castillo & Petr Hastik invite their audience to the Palace of Memory workshop
