Der Wanderfalke (The Peregrine)
Musical theatre Dance Theatre & Performance
Internationally connected Bonn-based fringe ensemble guests at the FFT to present their newest production, Der Wanderfalke (The Peregrine). In the eponymous 1967 book, author John Alec Baker describes the lives of two pairs of peregrines in the south of England. It is the story of a transformation: Within six months, Baker approaches the animals and slowly turns into an observing predator himself, resembling the peregrine, who learns to read nature. Following the text, its rhythm and its power, fringe ensemble developed an atmospheric theatre evening with live music. Using the means art has at its disposal, it opens the view onto a new gaze upon nature and the environment. The proprietary instruments – made, for the most part, from found objects – form the sound and stage space.
