Denken ohne Geländer

(Thinking without railings)

Theatre for everyone aged 13 and above Young FFT Theatre & Performance
Person stützt das Kinn auf die Hände und blickt nach oben, hinter ihr erscheint eine Schwarzweißprojektion einer Person.

Hannah Arendt was a theoretician who kept thinking a lot. pulk fiction is interested in the inner workings of thinking. And how the connection between thinking and politics is made. Together with the audience, the performers try to understand Hannah Arendt and attempt her way of thinking themselves.

Let us not take thinking granted as an everyday circumstance, but rather as a daring exploit. How do we ourselves really think? Which thought-railings provide safety? Where do they fail to suffice? What does it mean to let go of them?

Retracing theoretician Hannah Arend’s way, performer Hanna Biedermann joyfully enters the wrong track. Therein, she risks not knowing things as well as to think in public. In a dialogue with stage technician Simon Behle, she explores the relation between thought and political action, inviting the audience to participate in this exchange. The theatre space becomes a space for thought, with air for questions of power and responsibility, for identity and plurality. A collective search for the meaning of what it is to be free together comes up.
