Corporeality
Sound-Festival Music & SoundHow can the human body be moved to resonate, and what happens if one processes the sounds created and won like this? How can physical movement and actions be transposed into sound with the aid of electronic interfaces? And how may musical pieces emerge that deal with physicalness in the abstract and metaphorical realm?
The sixth edition of Soundcinema Düsseldorf, with its thematic focus on Corporeality, presents electronic and electro-acoustic audio productions that process the body in composition. The recorded sound festival for experimental music creates a space-sound-environment that is largely devoid of visual stimuli, inviting everyone to fully concentrate on the listening experience. All in all, ten audio productions will be presented in both multi-channel as well as stereo format, and they will subsequently receive awards from an expert jury as well as from the audience.
Apart from the thematic focus, the free category presents a vast breadth of electronic and electroacoustic music: musical compositions, soundscapes, sound collages, and experiments, alongside narrative audio formats and technoid productions.
