Block 1 // 6 pm to 7.30 pm: Short films on the subject of “Handmade Puppet Dreams”
The evening’s first half will show films dedicated to the art of live puppetry: Works from the “Handmade Puppet Dreams” series by Heather Henson and Alex U. Griffin. Be there for an exciting selection promising a large variety of styles, moods, and artistic forms. A tribute to the creative potential in puppetry on screen.
Block 2 // 8.30 pm to 10 pm: Short films on the subject of “Best of Puppet Shorts”
The evening’s second half will serve up the “Best of Puppet Shorts”. This carefully curated selection presents a broad spectrum of puppetry techniques, from painstaking stop motion to innovative mixed media animation. The programme offers an impressive choice of Oscar-nominated short films and award-winning films as well as additional hidden gems of the genre.
