Horizontaler Gentransfer
Punk meets K-PopHorizontaler Gentransfer is about transference beyond traditional forms of inheritance. This young punk band explores fashion, infection and migration using text, music and visual elements. The group name refers to an experimental interbreeding “between the species”. In this way, they intermingle punk with K-pop and art pop.

Große Fuge (Great Fugue)
As part of the 2025 Düsseldorf FestivalBeethoven meets contemporary dance: The Rothko String Quartet and dancer and choreographer Tian Gao create a danced concert about questions of time and transience. The focus is on Ludwig van Beethoven’s „Great Fugue“. The evening relates Beethoven’s mysterious work to baroque and contemporary perspectives.

Literaturtage DüsseldorfHengameh Yaghoobifarah, author and journalist for Missy Magazine and taz, dissects a polygamous relationship constellation that proves to be a “complete disaster”, in her novel “Schwindel”. When the four protagonists accidentally lock themselves out on the roof a Berlin house, there is no escaping the mess.
