Healing originally meant: “making whole (again)”. To Mithu Sanyal, healing means: “living in (the right) relationship”. The cultural scholar and author of “Vulva” and “Identitti” invites you to a healing of past and future in a ritual for all senses.

All atoms and particles in nature, in objects, and within us humanimals vibrate and resonate with each other. We vibrate in different speeds when we are in different states: in grief differently than in joy, in fear differently than in ecstasy. Siegmar Zacharias creates listening sessions during which one can listen with the whole of the body, becoming a resonating body for others.

.SPEAK is an app enabling continuous collaboration and sharing of audio recordings. The Re_Generation Symposium offers space to deepen the festival themes: Healing, solidary change, and pleasure. Catalysts for this symposium are migrants, BIPoC, non-binary, trans, and queer persons. They approach the topics playfully, and with sensual-scientific joy, offering, among other formats, workshops, listening sessions, and relaxed talks.

Dani d’Emilia has been working in Radical Tenderness for more than a decade and will report on a recently realised series during her presentation. For said series, twelve Brazilian performance artists had been invited to create rituals in reaction the “Co-Sensing with Radical Tenderness” text.

This is a tribute to the radical thought and actions of Black feminists: We listen to Kathy-Ann Tan’s poetic narrative text in an immersive session that deals with Audre Lorde’s poetry (less known than her essayistic work) and Bell Hooks’ work on love, grief, transformation, and regeneration.

For teyat vivan, sound researcher and activist Neha Spellfish learns her grandmothers’ dialect, which was a variant of African American Vernacular English. It emerged during the time of slave trade when Southern English and African Creole languages influenced each other in many ways. Spellfish employs the power of spoken word and acoustic collage to stimulate the physical dimension of sensual perception. An ethnolinguistic trip between invocation haunting, between philosophy and political action.

It is said that the stinging nettle carries a healing as well as a soothing effect. Artist Annick Kleinzen experiences the plant as a possibility to reconnect oneself again with their body and to reactivate the ability to feel. They speak about the opportunities of sensitising medicine with other artists from the Re_Generation cosmos.

Sci-Fi Anatomy (SFA) is a hybrid performance workshop creating a dialogue between the body matter and the ocean of our thoughts. Artist Lea Kieffer, together with the participants, touches upon the question of how fiction influences reality and the way we imagine shapes, identities, boundaries, the self and the body/ bodies.

How can we, following a two-day symposium on theories, practices, and trainings of regeneration, create a space to ponder the happenings and to integrate them, to carry them with us and to share them with others? The closing session, led by Rahel Spöhrer, invites the participants to review those previous symposium days together.

The images shown on the cubes change through movement within space. You decide the results – you, and the “Performance-Bot”.

Four players will journey into the early 1990s to search for traces. They embark on time travel in an abandoned mobile home, examining a part of intra-German economic history. To access the plot, they need to cooperate, search for clues, and connect parts of an audio play.

The onlinetheater-live artists created an app called Loulu. It is downloadable for free and can be used in class. Students can playfully learn how social platform functions are purposefully used by right-wing networks. In this way, the app helps to identify right-wing propaganda and to nurture a critical stance towards extreme right aesthetics and narratives. During the advanced training session, we will develop strategies to employ the app in class.

They have been dispatched by a fictitious agency dealing with the process of coping with the past.
