Life goes on

Game Theatre + Performance Digital Culture Theatre & Performance

machina eX welcome you to take your seat at the board game table: With game plans, repurposed smartphones, and event cards, the players create the fictitious hamlet of Prückwitz. Formerly famous throughout the GDR for their delicious little chocolate balls, Prückwitz today is made up of derelict factory sites only. An ambitious mayor and an American investor could help the town to economic blossoming, if it wasn’t for this one piece of real estate: The Treuhand sold it to an adventurer, gone missing by now, during the Wende events, and that thwarts the visions of an industrial park in the present. Will the players be able to solve the mystery surrounding the owner, making Prückwitz’s dream of an upswing recovery come true at last?

Life goes on at home

You may also play Life goes on at your home – as a multimedia board game for two to four players aged 14 and up. You play with your smartphones and printed-out game plans, investigating the story with the aid of mini audio plays, all at your own living room table. The free-of-charge download will be accessible from May 23rd until June 13th. You will find the link to the download in the specified period as a separate event in our schedule.
