Dr. Bayo Akomolafe

philosopher, author, activist

Dr Bayo Akomolafe is a philosopher, author, activist, professor for psychology and managing director of the Emergence Network. He was born in West Nigeria in 1983. Shortly after his birth, his family migrated to Bonn, Germany, where his father received his first diplomatic assignment. He currently divides his time living between India and the United States. Akomolafe is an internationally acclaimed orator, teacher, essayist, and he also authored two books: “These Wilds Beyond our Fences: Letters to My Daughter on Humanity’s Search for Home” (North Atlantic Books) and “We Will Tell our Own Story: The Lions of Africa Speak”. We read his book “These Wilds Beyond Our Fences” as part of the Reading Group during the “Re_Generation” project at the FFT.
