The collective andcompany&Co. was founded in Frankfurt am Main in 2003. Founders and core of the collective are Alexander Karschnia, Nicola Nord and Sascha Sulimma. The „&Co.“ abbreviation is intended to indicate the collective’s openness to new collaborations with national and international artists from various artistic disciplines. Accordingly, the networks of the collective, which is now based in Berlin and has its base at the HAU, are constantly expanding.
The focus of their work is the examination and reappraisal of past and future ideologies, theories and utopias. Their performances are a humorous play with facts & fictions, musically condensing fragments of aesthetic & philosophical designs of the 20th and 21st century and recombining them into their own political statement.
