Collective

Founded in 2018 by Patricia Bechtold and Johannes Karl, collective äöü employs means taken from theatre, performance, and installation. They subvert, collage, and animate influences originating in language, art, everyday life, and theory while searching for new forms and spaces for narratives. Patricia Bechtold and Johannes Karl met at the Zimmertheater Tübingen where they developed plays in collaboration with artists and amateurs. Their works received invitations to festivals such as Favoriten 2020, Zeitzeug Festival Bochum and to the HTA day in Frankfurt on the Main. They developed their production “Aus dem Innenleben eines Staubsaugerbeutels” for 2019’s west off.
